Terms of Service

Effective October 25, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Servicebuddy, an independent application designed to help individuals organize personal ministry activities and connect with trusted Service Buddies. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized account access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

2. Independent service

Servicebuddy is an independent productivity and connection tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any religious organization.

3. Appropriate use

Use the service lawfully, respectfully, and in accordance with applicable privacy requirements. Do not use it for harassment, unsolicited mass messaging, scraping, impersonation, unauthorized surveillance, or sharing another person’s personal information without a lawful basis. Respect requests not to be contacted.

4. Return visits and sensitive information

You are responsible for deciding what information to record about people you visit. Minimize personal information, avoid unnecessary sensitive details, and obtain any consent required by applicable law. Do not enter confidential organizational records or information you are not authorized to store. Do-not-contact records must be respected.

5. Connections and content

You retain responsibility for the content you submit, including profile photos, biographies, messages, notes, and visit information. You grant Servicebuddy a limited permission to host and process that content solely to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service. Do not upload content you lack rights to use.

6. Maps and third-party services

Mapping, address lookup, authentication, and hosting features may rely on third-party providers. Map locations and directions can be inaccurate. Verify addresses and routes independently. Address lookup is optional and may involve transmitting the address to a geocoding provider after you authorize it.

7. Availability and changes

Features may change, be suspended, or become unavailable for maintenance or security reasons. We may restrict accounts that violate these terms or threaten the security of the service. We may update these terms and will post the revised version with its effective date.

8. No warranties

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law, without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Servicebuddy is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. This provision does not limit liability where such a limitation is prohibited by law.

10. Ending use and contact

You may stop using Servicebuddy at any time. For account closure, data requests, or questions about these terms, contact the Servicebuddy operator through the support channel made available in the application. Do not submit private householder information in a support request.

These terms are an initial publication draft and may be revised to identify the legal operating entity, official contact information, and any jurisdiction-specific requirements.
